ยท The Act provides for similar provisions to those of the Engineers Act 2011 but with respect to persons with engineering technology qualifications such as professional engineering technologists and certified engineering technicians.
The regulation of engineering technologists is important given that they play a role in construction as assistants to engineers given the few numbers of qualified and registered engineers relative to the technologists.
