27. The National Construction Authority (Amendment) Bill 2022
The principal object of this Bill is to amend the National Construction Authority Act, No.41 of 2011 to provide for exemption from payment of some fees.
· The Bill seeks to amend the National Construction Authority Act, No. 41 of 2011 by providing for the recognition of women, youth and persons living with disabilities as marginalized groups and exempt them from payment of registration fees.
· Under the Bill, women, youth and persons with disability will be exempted from paying the prescribed fee for registration by the Board as contractors where the:
Business is a startup business venture; and
Fee does not exceed fifteen thousand Kenya Shillings.
